Print an image on multiple pages

One high-resolution photo or artwork is often larger than a single sheet of A4 or Letter paper. SmartPrint splits the image into a grid of printable pages so you can assemble a wall poster at home.

Images larger than one sheet

Phone photos, AI artwork, and scanned posters often exceed A4 or Letter dimensions. Scaling down to one page loses detail; tiling preserves resolution across many sheets.

SmartPrint splits the image into a regular grid. Each exported PDF page matches your chosen paper size with optional overlap and cut marks.

Format and resolution tips

PNG and JPG work best for photos; WebP is supported for web-sourced artwork. Very large files may take a moment to parse locally — that is normal.

Set your target poster size in millimeters or inches before choosing rows and columns so the grid matches your wall space.

Key points

  • Upload PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, or BMP — processed locally in your browser
  • Choose rows, columns, and target paper size (A4, Letter, A3, and more)
  • Preview tile layout with overlap and cut marks before exporting
  • Download a print-ready tiled PDF and print at 100% scale

Step by step

  1. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, or other supported image.
  2. Set the final poster size and choose A4, Letter, or another paper size.
  3. Review rows, columns, and overlap in the layout preview.
  4. Export a tiled PDF and print each page at 100% scale.
  5. Assemble the poster using labels and optional cut marks.

Pro tips

  • Use PNG for graphics with text; JPG is fine for photographic posters.
  • Preview the grid zoomed in to check that important content is not split awkwardly across a seam.
  • Print on heavier paper (120 gsm+) if the poster will stay up for weeks.

Common questions

Will splitting reduce image quality?

Each tile prints at full resolution for its portion of the image. Quality depends on your source file DPI and printer settings, not on the split itself.

Can I split a vertical phone photo into a tall poster?

Yes. Set a tall output size and increase rows so the aspect ratio matches your wall space.
